Deer Hawk Publications acquires two Sidney Archer
novels!
In a fantastic deal, Deer Hawk Publications has
taken on Redemption and Whited Sepulchres by Sidney Archer. www.deerhawkpublishing.wordpress.com
Shocking, appalling, riveting, and … believable.
Whited
Sepulchres – The story starts out with Shannon
being found dead by her best friend. Suicide, I think not.
This deeply emotional novel is about a young woman
who grew up diagnosed as having a bipolar disorder, was emotionally and
sexually abused by her siblings, and ignored by her mother. Her father was the
only one who truly loved her but was unable to stand up to the rest of the
family. Believed to have committed suicide by everyone but her best friend,
Evie, Shannon left three spiral notebooks whose contents hold the truth of her
family who has hidden behind their wealth and the local church for over 40
years. This book will make you catch your breath with each turn of the page,
exposing some suppressed feelings from your own past that you thought were
locked away forever.
This is a “must read”. How many out there have
experienced molestation as a child? Kept it hidden out of fear? Suppressed it
to the deepest part of their subconscious just to survive and try to live a
“normal” life? Thought and action provoking, it will never leave you.
Those who read this will only touch the tip of the
mental illness iceberg, of which only some is hereditary…
And
Redemption
– A suspenseful drama that addresses the ever- present issue of domineering
religions and the adverse effects forced upon the children born, raised, or
deceptively recruited into their “families”. Think of Waco, Warren Jeffs, Tom
Green. It is a story of abuse and courage,
hate and forgiveness.
The judgmental church, the abusive father, and the
sexually terroristic, obsessive, possessive husband defy human existence. The
only shining light in her life is but temporary until she finds that she must
love herself and accept the Beauty within. Annabeth's finding out that God
loves her unconditionally, and her mother does too, makes this a wonderful
testimony to the Strength we all possess inside.
Those who read this will feel Annabeth’s desperation
and need to flee, making your heart race. It is incomprehensible to think this
happens in real life.
